Compressor vervangen

De compressor wordt doorgaans door de voertuigmotor via een V-snaar aangedreven en comprimeert het aangezogen gasvormige koudemiddel, om dit vervolgens door te voeren naar de condensor. Voor de smering is de compressor gevuld met speciale olie. Een deel van de olie circuleert met het koudemiddel door het aircosysteem.

Ontoereikende smering, veroorzaakt door lekkage en daarmee verbonden koudemiddel- en olieverlies, en ontbrekend onderhoud kunnen leiden tot het uitvallen van de compressor (lekkende asafdichtingsring, lekkende afdichting van de behuizing, lagerschade, slijtage van de zuiger enz.).

Uitvaloorzaken van een opnieuw gemonteerde compressor na het vervangen zijn: lagerschade door een verkeerde spanning op de aandrijfriem en onvoldoende of teveel olie (meestvoorkomend). Het toevoegen van de juiste oliehoeveelheid is essentieel bij het vervangen van een compressor. Te weinig olie kan weer versnelde slijtage aan de nieuwe compressor opleveren. Teveel olie kan vloeistofslag in de compressor veroorzaken.
